Mike Chisholm was named San Jose State University's Assistant Athletics Director for Development in 2011 after serving 11 years as the play-by-play radio voice for Spartan football and men's basketball.

Chisholm first joined San Jose State in 2000 as the department’s first Director of Broadcasting and Sales. In 2003, he was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Broadcasting.  His duties also included hosting the weekly football coach's shows, service as producer and managing all aspects of the Spartan Radio Network.

The 1987 University of Wyoming graduate was the play-by-play voice for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and worked for KEYS Radio (1440 AM, Corpus Christi) prior to moving to San Jose.

During his noteoworthy broadcast career, The Wyoming Association of Broadcasters, the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and the Associated Press Wyoming bureau honored him for his work in play-by-play broadcasting.

Chisholm, his wife, Lydia, and daughter, Karisse, live in San Jose.
