Tom Reeves (Athletic Trainer, 1962-70)
Reeves was the head athletic trainer for seven years until the tragic 1970 football team plane crash claimed his life.
he is said to have assisted several of the injured players at the crash site before falling victim to his own injuries.
was highly regarded as an athletic trainer and turned down several job opportunities to remain at Wichita State.
he worked many hours with little help to assist WSU athletes in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.
despite his busy work schedule he always had time to help other staff members or community members with advice about injuries.
he graduated from WSU in 1961 and served as a student trainer while completing his undergraduate degree. Inducted, 1986.
