PERSONAL —  Born Petelo Tauita Faaeteete on March 10, 1986 in Western Samoa. Parent: Pele Faaeteete. Family: Two brothers, one sister. High School (Coach): North Medford (Thom Becker) 2004. Major: Political Science.

OREGON Returns as team’s most experienced interior lineman, with the seven-game starter having accumulated 31 collegiate appearances. In addition to his proficiency on the field, has emerged as one of the defense’s strongest leaders. The tough-nosed competitor is very explosive for his size who constantly aims to give supreme effort. Has encountered a few glitches in the timetable of his development due to occasional feet and knee ailments but has worked his way through the nuisances. Provides physical strength up the middle of the defense, and possesses tremendous knowledge of the game as well as an understanding of what opponents are striving to achieve. Is in the middle of the mix for a starting role and will contribute to an interchangeable rotation that should remain constant regardless of which three or four players are in the lineup at any one time. Possesses tremendous lower-body strength, looming as the program’s only player to squat 600 lbs. and paces all defensive linemen with a 405-lb. bench press.

2006 —  Broke into the starting lineup on seven occasions while making appearances in all 13 games. Ranked third on the team in tackles for loss and second among down linemen, including two TFLs for 5 yards vs. Stanford and 1.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage for 10 yards against Portland State. Posted career-bests of four tackles in consecutive games vs. the Vikings and Washington. Logged a career- high 52 snaps against Washington State.

2005 —  Stepped onto the field for 10 games, including 32 snaps against USC and 18 plays vs. Oregon State. Yet 12 reps in the fourth quarter of the Holiday Bowl were probably his most productive of the entire year, recording two tackles and one for loss against Oklahoma. Posted one tackle against the Trojans as well as returned a fumble 3 yards in the regular-season finale against Oregon State.

2004 —  Made appearances in eight games while finishing the year with four unassisted tackles among his seven stops. Added 3.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback sack. Accumulated single-game best two tackles against Idaho and Oregon State.

HIGH SCHOOL —  The SuperPrep All-American and PrepStar Dream Team recipient not only was rated by some as the best prep prospect in Oregon as a senior but also the top defensive tackle recruit west of the Rocky Mountains (13th in the country) by Rivals. com. Elicited the state’s defensive player-of-the-year accolades (The Oregonian) as well as attention from the Tacoma News Tribune (Northwest Nuggets) and the Long Beach Press-Telegram (Best in the West honorable mention). Accumulated 100 tackles his senior season in addition to 25 tackles for loss and 10 1/2 quarterback sacks for the Black Tornados. The Western Samoa native and 2003 first-team all-state pick on offense (guard) and defense (tackle) garnered most valuable lineman honors at 2003 Nike Camp.
