On Wednesday, December 8, 2004, members of the Iona College Football team participated in a Toy Drive and Community Christmas party at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle. This is the second year that the football team has contributed to this event.

Team members helped in many ways to make the experience an enjoyable and memorable one for youngsters and their families from the local community. During the afternoon, the football team helped Santa Clause hand out toys and take pictures with the children, handed out cookies and juice, and participated in numerous activities and games, including “Simon Says” and the Limbo. This event brought smiles to the faces of all involved. The children were thrilled to interact with Iona’s Football Players, and the Athletes enjoyed their time spent with the local youth of New Rochelle.
