Will be the Lady Mocs' Student Assistant during the 2009 season. Enjoyed a stellar four-year career with UTC.

2008: Named to First Team All-Southern Conference Team as well as All-Southern Conference Tournament Team... Started in all 63 games for the Lady Mocs, 52 at shortstop and nine in the outfield... Posted team-high four triples and second highest batting average, .342... Led the team with 75 hits and 13 stolen bases... Also recorded seven home runs and 29 runs batted in...

2007: Second Team All-Southern Conference as a utility player ... started season at shortstop before filling utility role ... appeared in all 66 games with 64 starts ... posted team-high six triples and third highest batting average, .277 ... finished season with 52 hits, 31 runs, 22 RBI’s, seven home runs, slugging percentage of .473 and on-base percentage of .367 ... primarily played in right field but made appearances at second base, shortstop, center field and catcher ... stole six bases ... chalked up 72 putouts and 41 assists ... led the team in walks with 26, including two intentional ... earned Player of the Week honors once ... Fall Dean’s List.

2006: Started all 64 games appeared in ... finished season with 184 at bats, 31 RBI, five home runs, a .261 batting average and a slugging percentage of .402 ... stole nine bases in 12 attempts ... had 113 putouts and 131 assists on defense ... posted career high five RBI against Middle Tennessee State, going two-for-two with two runs scored.

2005: Had the numbers to be considered for Southern Conference Freshman of the Year ... named Southern Conference Player of the Week twice and Player of the Month for March ... led Lady Mocs with .327 batting average and started all 67 games at shortstop ... posted .500 slugging percentage and had four home runs, six triples and 13 doubles ... drove in 41 RBI and had 107 total bases ... drew 28 walks and had a .412 on-base percentage ... stole four bases in six attempts ... had a .945 fielding percentage with 89 putouts and 82 assists ... set single-season school-record with 55 runs scored ... ranked in the career top 10 at UTC in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and triples ... led team with 21 multi-hit games, including six games with more than two hits ... went five-for-five against the College of Charleston in the Southern Conference Championship Game ... had 11 multi-RBI games, including four with three RBIs and two with four RBIs ... had a six-game hitting streak.

Folsom High School: Played for Robert Reed ... 2003 Delta League Co-Champs ... CIF Section third place ... named All-League Co-Most Valuable Player and First Team selection as senior ... All-City First Team ... Folsom High School Athlete of the Year ... First Team All-City and All-League selection and team Offensive MVP following junior year ... All-League First Team and team MVP as a sophomore ... earned All-League Honorable Mention at shortstop ... Honor Roll from 2000-04 ... earned three letters as a guard/forward on the basketball team.

Personal: Born in Mountain View, Calif., on Sept. 21, 1986, Tara is the daughter of Jill and Bill Tembey ... father, Bill, played football for California-Hayward ... family includes a brother, Todd, and a sister, Tori ... majoring in Movement Science.
