Integral part of five NDSU North Central Conference championships in indoor (1) and outdoor (4) track and field under coach Don Larson...Seven-time NCAA Division II national champion—twice in cross country, three times in the 10,000-meter run outdoors, and twice in the 5,000-meter run indoors....Five-time NCC track and field champion, winning the indoor 5,000 twice, the outdoor 5,000 twice, and the outdoor 10,000 once...NCC cross country champion in 1988 and 1990...Earned Division II All-America honors 12 times—nine in track and field and three in cross country...Named the NCC’s most valuable indoor track and field athlete in 1990...Received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in the spring of 1991...Two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division At-Large first-team selection in 1990 and 1991...Four-time Academic All-NCC pick from 1988-91...Named to the U.S. Track/Cross Country Association Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002...Toured Europe as a member of Athletes in Action in 1990...Graduated in 1991 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
