Yolanda Hinton is in her fifth year as an assistant athletic trainer, as she joined the program in August of 2006. At CU she serves as the athletic trainer for the women's soccer and tennis teams, while also working with women's basketball for the 2010-11 season.

 

Hinton came to Colorado from Kent State University where she was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for football and baseball.  While at Kent State she earned a master’s degree in Exercise, Leisure and Sport. 

 

She is a 2003 graduate of Grand Valley State University (Mich.), where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, with an emphasis in Athletic Training.  While at Grand Valley State, Hinton served as co-head athletic training student for the 2003 NCAA Division II national championship football team.  

 

Hinton became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2004, and is a current member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.  Born December 10, 1980, in Lansing, Mich., she graduated from Lansing Everett High School in 1999.  Her hobbies include reading, listening to music and working out.
