MOSCOW, Idaho—The Idaho men’s tennis team finished 10th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s final Mountain Region rankings. The 2016 Big Sky runner-up was one of just three Big Sky teams to appear in the rankings.
The Vandals advanced all the way to the finals of the Big Sky Tournament. Idaho, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, fell short in a tough 4-3 battle with No. 1 Weber State to end the season. The Vandals closed the season 16-7 overall and 9-2 in the Big Sky.
The Silver and Gold will continue to be a force in the Big Sky. The Vandals return five players next season, including All-Conference honorees Felipe Fonseca and Mark Kovacs.
