At a glance: Seized a starting job as a sophomore and has been a starter in the OSU defense ever since ... played in 21 games in 2007, starting 20 with three goals and five assists in helping Ohio State to the College Cup ... tall, physical player who is good in the air and a weapon on set plays ... has great size and a great soccer resume ... adjusted quickly to the college game and was a solid contributor in 2005 before an injury cut his freshman season short ... won a national club championship with Scott Gallagher Soccer Club.

2007 (Junior season): Academic All-Big Ten ... CoSIDA Academic All-America nominee ... injured in first half of the national championship game vs. Wake Forest (OSU was leading 1-0 when he left) ... started 20 games, playing 21 with three goals, five assists, and eight shots on goal ... missed five starts due to injury ... logged 1,708 minutes (81 minutes per game) ... scored game-winning goal in overtime vs. Michigan Oct. 27 ... scored a goal and had one assist vs. William & Mary Sept. 9 ... assist vs. Old Dominion Sept. 7 ... goal vs. Oakland Oct. 10.

2006 (Sophomore season): Academic All-Big Ten ... scored two goals on just 18 shots and had one assist ... scored game-winner at Penn State Oct. 1 ... scored OSU’s second goal in a 2-0 win vs. Furman Aug. 27 (his first collegiate goal, header off Xavier Balc corner kick) ... assisted on Jim Fisher’s game-winner in overtime at Oakland Oct. 18 ... missed two games because of injury (Boston University Sept. 8 and Bowling Green Sept. 14) but started the other 19 games ... totaled 1624 minutes (86 minutes per game) ... was nominated for the Academic All-America Team.

2005 (Freshman season): Saw action in 10 games before a back injury ended his season prior to the Indiana game Oct. 23 ... made five starts, those coming in five consecutive games from Sept. 11-25 ... logged 511 minutes of field time, an average of over 51 minutes per outing ... played all 99 minutes of OSU’s win over Cal State Fullerton Sept. 16 ... played all 91 minutes of the win at Furman Sept. 11 ... had one shot on the season, that coming in OSU’s 2-1 win over No. 17 UCLA Sept. 18.

Scott Gallagher Soccer Club: Ranked the No. 10 defender prospect in the nation by studentsportssoccer.com (Feb. 2005) ... was team captain for the Scott Gallagher Soccer club that won the 2004 U-17 national championship, as well as the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Missouri state club championship.

Lafayette High School: Earned All-Midwest honors as a senior while setting the Missouri record for assists per game in a season with 1.27 ... was named first-team all-state as a senior after earning second-team honors as a junior ... earned first-team all-conference honors three times ... in his prep career totaled 37 goals, including 13 game-winners, and 67 assists ... named school’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year
