Kalafatis on Vanderink: “Brittany is our spark plug offensively and can make so much happen at the plate. Like Liz and most seniors, Brittany realizes the end of the road is near and I think we have to be careful not to let Brittany put too much pressure on herself. We’ll probably see her as our leadoff batter and we’ll want her anchoring our infield at second base. She moved back there last year, which is her natural position, and this year we’ll count on her leadership and experience in our infield.”
