A 1962 (First Team) and 1964 Second Team) All-State selection by the Atlanta Journal Constitution... Led Georgia Southern to NAIA District Playoffs three straight seasons, including a national tournament appearance in 1964... Born April 14, 1940 in West Frankfort, Illinois, he came to Statesboro as a sophomore after one season at Southern Illinois University... Received BED degree from Georgia Southern in 1964... Paced the Eagles in scoring two of his three years... Averaged 21.8 points per game as a sophomore and 21.6 his senior season...
