Meyers is listed as the first Bison gridder to receive an All-America rating from the Associated Press in 1932 and 1933. The modest Meyers, in submitting a requested biography for the Bison Hall of Fame event, wrote of his career only, “Spent two years working (after high school) and entered NDSU in September 1930. Graduated in June 1934.” Employed in 1936 by the Interstate Power Company. Spent 38 years, including 31 as an electric operating superintendent, with that firm until retirement in 1974.
