A three-year starter for the Herd on Bison teams that recorded 46 victories, the 6-foot, 5 1/2-inch forward was a two-time All-North Central Conference selection and a two-time NCAA all-regional pick. He led the Bison in scoring twice, averaging 17.2 points per game over 79 appearances including a 19.6 points per game average as a senior. He set four school records and was the third leading scorer in school history when he graduated. After graduation, he taught at Fargo Shanley and coached at Fargo South, and spent time at Finley-Sharon High School in North Dakota. A native of Cambridge, Minn., he was a star athlete in basketball, football, and baseball, and was named to the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame.
