The University of Idaho men's golf team tees off in its second successive NCAA Regional Tournament after successfully defending its Big Sky Conference title 10 days ago.

The Vandals are one of 15 teams at the Kohler Regional, which is being played on the par 72, 7,123-yard Blackwolf Run - Meadow Valley course. There are six regional tournaments from which the top teams and individuals will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament.

Jake Scarrow is the first Vandal to go when he tees off at 7:15 a.m. PT. He's followed by Ian Kim (7:26), Ryan Porch (7:37), Danie Sutton (7:48) and Rylee Iacolucci (7:59). They are paired with players from East Tennessee State and Campbell University.

Coach David Nuhn said the Vandals need to mantain their focus to be successful.

“It demands accuracy off the tee,” he said of Blackwolf Run. “It demands a proper thought process for every shot. … We have to remember if we get into trouble, we have to get out and move on.”
