MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Cross Country/Track & Field program is thrilled to announce that Noah Belcik of Lakerdige High School in Lake Oswego, Ore., has committed to become a Vandal.

Belcik already has incredible range from 800m to 5k cross country. He ran personal bests of 1:55.9 in the 800m and 4:04.3 in the 1500m as a junior. Belcik was seventh in the Oregon State Championships in the 800m as a junior. He also had a breakthrough cross county season in which he finished 10th at the Oregon State Championships.

He had a personal best of 15:42 over 5000m on a cross country course in his senior season. Belcik has also excelled in the classroom and plans on studying business at the University of Idaho.

“We are excited to have Noah be a part of the program. The first thing that jumps out about Noah is his range, and when you add that to his toughness, it is an excellent recipe for success. He should also represent well in the classroom as he is talented student as well.” said Tim Cawley, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
